I've always wondered why there weren't more games made in the style of Majesty. I saw some indie developers making some Majesty-like games, but they're all clones of fucking Majesty 2.

Why? Majesty 2 wasn't some big mainstream success. It's an obscure Paradox title that's controversial at best.

Anyway, thoughts on this old game, why there aren't more games like it and why, against all odds and reason, the people making games like it are following Majesty 2?
