Mad Love is so fucking great, there are so many things about it that are awesome.
One of my favorites is the fact that, early in the episode, when Joker is going over his Batman-killing plots and schemes, Harley says, "Why don't you just shoot him?". This prompts Joker to go on a rant to her about how the death of Batman has to be a big production and a huge thematic triumph for the Joker and his ideology.
Then, at the end of the episode, after Harley has ALMOST killed Batman, he's chained up on a table, and Joker, about to leave him alone, reconsiders, and prepares to... just shoot him. Exactly what Harley had proposed, and he had ridiculed, earlier in the very same episode. He's just a hypocrite about it all.
It's a really great episode about how awful and shitty the Joker is, in addition to being a tragic episode about Harley.
