Kenichi Sonoda has been trying to get a full anime adaptation of his "Gunsmith Cats" manga since the 90s and besides the 90s OVA no one ever adapted it, he was really upset so decades after that he created a Kickstarter to produce a pitch pilot with his characters in hopes it would serve as a pitch pilot for a full series, but after he pitched it to different anime studios and networks only for every single one to reject them he finally gave up and said he won't try to make any Gunsmith Cats content again, I'm just saying that if TRIGGER wasted lots of money on buying Panty & Stocking's rights from Gainax only to produce a really watered down and mediocre season 2...they should give Gunsmith Cats a go, I can see them pulling off that series way better
