I legit think the Wii U was Nintendo's attempt at a return to form. Most of the new Switch games that were actually worth anything were holdovers from the Wii U as well. Its a shame because I really think it reinforced Nintendo when it came to making games for "everyone" rather than their core audience and putting marketing and name power above all else. There's just no soul, effort, or passion in any of their games now. Its all just safe, focus tested, cost efficient product.
