I really enjoyed the combat in DDS. I know a big draw for SMT is the monster collection but I really enjoyed having total control over passives, affinities and skills without needing to back track to save zones or spend resources for it. I'd have liked to see promotional classes for your group that complimented their stats. Though I hated the stomach ache mechanic which never made sense to me and the encounter rate is capital r Retarded.
