I truly hope they would not be this purposefully blind. The reasons for it's poor reception are so clear even the Pirate Science team understands them.

There have been some cool discussions about if Sylux also gets caught up, but it might be neat to have it as you describe, where Sylux is proceeding with various plans while Samus is stuck for a while and she comes back, only now with some cool powers Sylux' plans weren't accounting for.

Indeed, it might be a cool subversion that what appears to be yet another [insert original inhabitants Samus saves here] to actually turn on her at some point because they have some ulterior motive, even though that by itself may be a predictable way to go at this point.
