I have a Game Boy Color. The screen is barely visible even with strong direct light and colors are very dim. I found that slangp/handheld/lcd-grid-v2-gbc-color.slangp provides the closest looking image, but to be honest, there are so many other Game Boy models and the screen looks so shit anyway (I was a bit surprised I could spend so much time staring at it when I was a kid), that you might as well pick whatever you personally like more.
