For neurotypical people, things being in a state of flux or being two contradictory things at the same time is possible. For most people, saying what you posted exists because the warp is an extradimensional space that borders both the past and the future is enough. It even makes sense with babies first understanding of general theory of relativity. You can chalk up the wierdness of it to the inherent power and mystery of the warp, where anything is possible. Being autistic, you can't imagine ANYTHING being is possible because the warp has to follow RULES. Rules, of course, being whatever things you happen to have read and any contradictions are resolved with the sources you prefer resulting in your own personal headcannon in how the warp works.
