Lanolin doesn't act like SatAM Sally. She acts like a completely unfun joykill whose leadership is completely incompetent. We never see Lanolin pay off, she is often the voice of fools rather than the voice of reason, and unlike SatAM, Sonic is subservient to Lanolin and listens to her meanwhile in SatAM Sonic will be just as likely to go against Sally's advice.
It's not that SatAM Sally isn't flawed. It's that Lanolin is a character who is only flaws with no redeeming traits or depth that Sally has.
Lanolin is a terrible pastiche of Ian's writing for reboot archie. Not an in-character Sally.
