I think this casting shows that Miyamoto has a much bigger influence over this movie than we think. Miyamoto wants actors who align with the vision he originally had in his mind all the way back in 1986.

The movie is being developed by Snoy, but given that Snoy is full woke, they likely wanted to race swap either Link or Zelda, but didn't get their way. Disney would have tried the same shit.
