Hello, Norwegian map autist here. Sorry for the radio silence, I was planning to update the map around New Year's, but because a lot of people at work was sick, I've been busy with working a lot of extra shifts for half a year now and it's taken all my energy. Things have improved lately, people are coming back to work and they've hired a few more people, so I'm back to my old schedule. This has allowed me to finally work on the new update. These are the changes I found:
>BIOT will join Mauritius
>there's a new region in the Philippines, so I might redraw the map to its provinces instead, lots of smaller and less visited countries have their complete set represented on the map. At the very least I'll make a DLC out of it.
>there are new regions in Mali and Angola
>some regional borders in Iraq, Latvia and the Republic of the Congo has changed
>regional reforms in Burundi and Vietnam will reduce the number of regions, these are approved and will be implemented this year, I'm only waiting on an updated map so I can redraw them
>will add Martim Vaz to Brazil since an Anon requested it
If anyone knows other changes or has suggestions, please share them. This map is a group effort, and we can only improve it if people reaches out with their ideas.
Question for smart people: Are Ireland's counties correctly represented on the map? It looks like it's missing five city counties, but these aren't new additions, so I'm wondering if I've left them out in earlier updates for a reason and just forgot.
Anyway, here's my map. Since last time I posted I've visited Rome. I've already been to Italy (Sardinia) years ago, but I visited the Vatican City for the first time, and also the offices of the Order of Malta, which I count as a "country". My current tally is now at 38 countries, 33 UN members and five "others".
