This is just plain wrong and this disinfo needs to end. The potentiometers have a resistive material inside, usually graphite, that a wiper slides against. The level of resistance tells the potentiometer where the stick position is. This material wears out over time. You cannot "fix" a drifting potentiometer by spraying contact cleaner in it, the resistive material is fucking GONE. Dust is not the problem and never was. The problem is that the potentiometer literally mechanically wears out over time and nothing can stop that process.
