Most staff involved with Revelations 2 are now in leading roles for the Resident Evil franchise. RE4 Remake basically plays exactly like Revelations 2.
RE7 saved the franchise in terms of public recognition but Revelations 2 is where the creative team found their footing and decided to continue in that direction. It is an extremely good game.
