I hope the level design will be better. Frontiers' level design is just regular Sonic stages sloppily pasted onto an open world environment with no adjustment to the level design. You have to look for obscure entrances to those floating levels and you can very easily exploit them by just entering them from the exit where the memory token is. They really need to rethink that somehow.
