I'm not falling for it numberfags. Elio will do fine. It's the only animated movie for the rest of the summer, and audience reactions are glowing. As word spreads that there's no wokeshit and it's a charming family adventure, people will keep bringing their kids like Elemental.
And even if Elio went full Ruby Gillman, which it won't, it doesn't matter for Pixar. They've moved on from the movie years ago, barely talking about it at the big Disney expos since it's initial announcement. Everybody, except those pretending to be ignorant, is aware the movie was remade like three times and replaced its director. Pixar wrote it off a long time ago, and preemptively performed huge layoffs in summer 2024. The only mission for releasing Elio was for the new directors to shape it into any sort of salvageable thing that could be released. Given those terms, they exceeded expectations. Elio is a good movie. It's whimsical and funny with good message that give kids a sense of adventure and wonder in times of profound violence. It's not a masterpiece, but it's actually fucking good and something anybody would enjoy.
Most of you ITT haven't seen it, won't see it, and would never consider seeing it. I don't know precisely when it happened, but one by one you've all become addicted to drama and lashing out at meaningless bullshit instead of actually caring about animation. I have nothing in common with you losers. Numberposting is terminal autism and you should all kill yourselves or read a book, go to the gym, and gain self-respect. It's not too late.. It's an admittance of not being capable of individual thought. Fucking ruined media discussion on the internet.
