They retconned the daidoji and now the entire Kiryu story is just weird.
>at the end of 6 the daidoji wanted to bribe him with money so he doesnt say anything
>instead of taking the bribe he fakes his death (doing a massive favour to the daidoji) so that no one can use the orphan kids/Haruka to bait Kiryu into doing stuff
>Gaiden begins with the daidoji acting like Kiryu is their prisoner and that he has to pay for what he did, even though the whole thing was Kiryu's idea
>the orphans are basically immediately used as bargaining chip
not just that, but also pretty much everyone recognized Kiryu straight away in the first 2 hours of Gaiden.
Then it somehow gets even worse in Infinite Wealth, where the daidoji are about as competent as a random street gang, which makes the whole thing just feel really unserious
also
>Hanawa is Morinaga haha
what a fucking unneccessery "twist". It doesnt make any sense yet Yokoyama apparently confirmed it. What does it add to the story? He just died (again) in a ridiculously unceremonious way (again).
