I still hold to this day that Artifact could have actually been a 50k -- 100k consistent playerbase if they actually bothered to just release a few more expansions.
The moment the first expansion failed they just threw up their hands, tried to reinvent everything and failed the small niche that actually loved the game, then gave up.

Imagine if that happened to Deadlock.
