New Era is a psychological anime. Jungle Pocket is haunted by the ghost of Tachyon, who is later to be revealed as herself, and in this scene she shatters the self-imposed barrier of being the imposter. The imagery in the anime represents the psychological perspective of the characters, their inner-thoughts and the monsters who serve both as an obstacle and an inspiration. A particularly neat scene is Tachyon chasing after her own mirage, chasing her limits until they broke to pieces, and shattering her own leg in the process.
