The game is about valkyries of St. Freya. Naming them valkyries in the first place signaled that they had the full intention of keeping Honkai 3rd in its galgame niche until they saw Genshin's success with appealing to a broader demographic. I really wish they stop trying to push this idea because it never worked out well for everybody involved.
