There was a proposal to install a French made Leclerc style turret and a KMDB 6TD opposed piston engine plus the T84 transmission on the T72 hull for export. I suspect that the proposed 120mm armed variant of the VT4 being offered to Brazil is very similar since the Chinese have already put that Ukrainian power train into export vehicles before.
