NTA, but I've never stopped loving the hypocrisy of the hoi polloi, nor their complete inability to understand cause and effect.
The old aristocracies treated you like cattle, but at least recognised you as part of the nation, and shared your blood, your religion - but you didn't want any of that. You wanted democracy. You wanted social mobility. You wanted infinite immigration.
So now you get your new aristocracy (billionaires, politicians etc.) who treat you like cattle, but have no other ties to you, whether nationality, blood, ideology etc. - you're just a resource to be consumed.
You got what you wanted, but didn't want what you got - keeping an absolute monarchy would have protected you from everything you now bitch about.
