No Hashira can ever hope to defeat an Upper Moon without help or a boost like a Mark, which is rare. Even the weakest one Gyutaro and Daki would have killed Tengen if he was solo.

How did they not lose for CENTURIES up until now? Did the current generation of Hashira get vastly stronger for some reason? Is this ever exaplined?
IIRC Ubuyashiki said the current line up is the finest since the feudal era. Current gen of Hashira are all exceptional.
