the jp minigame just makes me wonder how huge BA could've been had its gameplay just been some sort of roguelite deckbuilder from the very beginning.
the biggest filter working against BA is its core gameplay not being that well thought out, even for gacha live service standards.
so people usually don't stick around for too long and instead enjoy the franchise from a distance.

But what if BA's gameplay was built upon the roguelite deckbuilding format from the start? It'd be a different story.
People can't get enough of that stuff, it's like a drug to them.
