You're currently borrowing main dps hard carries because you're underleveled. When you hit max level you generally invest in said hard carries because they're so universally useful. Being able to borrow the missing piece of the puzzle, whether it be a character you don't have or one you have but can't afford to invest to high heavens for ONE raid strategy is a blessing.

I've just had to put up with people that probably weren't even buying pakeji whining about the BP without the rewards for plat or extra challenges of no-borrows becoming a thing that amps up the effect of any powercreep problems.

How the game eases you into doing the higher raid content without bribing you is one of the strongpoints as far as I'm concerned.
