>the protagonist beats the antagonist
>the world recovers from the anal wreckage it just sustained at the hands of the antagonist and his goons
>the protagonist doesn't fucking die
>the protagonist doesn't get fucking cucked
>the protagonist lives happily ever after and so do all his friends
how NOT to end a story:
>forget about all the side characters because they weren't the MAIN CHARACTER
>the protagonist doesn't beat the antagonist or he beats him by has to sacrifice everything to do it
>the world is fucked and hopeless
>the protagonist dies or is extremely injured/coma/otherwise incapacitated
>the protagonist doesn't end up with the love interest established early on in the story (if you have one) for whatever reason
>the protagonist doesn't live happily ever after and neither do his friends
