On the subject of GUN, what's their appeal?
their introduction only served to give Eggman some "badniks" to shoot in SA2 and as a result the militarism they introduced to the series always felt redundant when Eggman started to get armies for himself. The series never seemed too interested in the implied politics of the organization as it quickly squashed the "shady government agency" thing they had going on with Shad05, now they are unmistakably good guys.
Sonic's also more likely to work with GUN if they show up in a story nowadays which doesn't seem too different from Sonic working for the Acorn Family
Is the appeal just seeing serious military dudes with semi-realistic guns standing next to colorful furry dwarves?
