The main reason I accepted Adam's offer is that ultimately the conflict is between Adam, the father, and Mother Sphere, the daughter, who each ruined the planet in their war against each other, Adam by unleashing the Naytiba, and Mother Sphere by scouring the Earth with the orbital drop.
The big difference is Adam was seeking a future for both species and willing to end his life to make it happen, making some kind of amends for his part in the destruction of Earth, while Mother Sphere wants only a future for one species and has no notion of self-sacrifice, especially given she sets herself up as a deity to the androids and conceals truths from them, while Adam actually was borderline divine as the Elder Naytiba yet conceals that, a lie yes but a humble one. They're both liars but Adam sought a future for both and Mother Sphere only seeks authority for herself so I said fuck her and took his hand
