I think it's because the AC parts don't shade properly. You can notice it very easily when boosting, entering the photo mode, and looking at the AC from the front. The individual parts self shade, but if you look at say the arms next to the core, light is shining on them when it should be occluded by the joints. Same thing for legs. It really, really pushes my buttons
Pic related, where could the light from the boosters possibly be coming through the core to light the underside of the head, when it's almost fully occluded from the boosters.
