G4 came at a perfect moment. There was no AI, so hiring animators was justifiable. No tiktok shorts short-circuiting kids brains so 20 min format was still OK. And feminism was at just the correct place to allow someone like Faust a 20 minute format show angled at girls, that didn't have to assume girls are brainless and will watch anything pink.
Right now the times are the opposite. Short format is mandatory, kids are brain damaged, feminism is in decline (I am not saying it's good or bad in general, it's that arguing for better quality shows for girls won't work anymore) and AI will basically bar kids animations from being made by human artists. Of all animated show age brackets and types - kids shows are probably the first that will suffer from AI shittification. Maybe in some future AI will be great, but right now it's not, and we will see how bad it is in kids shows first.
tl;dr When g4 happen multiple stars aligned perfectly. These stars are currently in perfectly opposite and reverse misaligment. G6 is going to be a disaster of unproportionable magnitude that will put MLP brand on the shelf for a long time.
