Giving too much power to BF players is a mistake. I say this as someone who's been in playtests from early on. Almost every change ''community'' asked for made the game worse in one way or another. Locked class system will make the game even worse if people chooses that over open classes. Here's a list of things that made the game worse and worse due to community backlash
>Slower movement, community whined so much about movement speed and movement abilities basically only aggressive movement ability you have is backproning to trick your enemy into thinking you are dead
>Jumpshotting has been butchered
>Running speed is so slow it's almost the same speed as walking now
>Added shit ton of visual recoil compared to early tests
>Added shit ton of real recoil but mostly to ARs, no reason to use ARs at this point since they will be the least accurate weapon class due to recoil, carbines are just better ARs at this point, especially XM7, it basically has an AR damage model with no recoil
>Removed stims from assault, support is a better assault with infinite healing options now
>Still no proper spread because community whines about spread, even when spread is what caused the fun gameplay of BF3 and 4. Without spread you don't have good gunplay in a BF game.
>Added XM25 airburst and mortar to support, 2 of the most cancerous gadgets from BF4
>Now they are asking for people's opinions on class locked system and they are copying BF4 system, worst class system in any BF to this day which will make entire weapon classes such as SMGs useless once they fully implement it
This isn't exclusive to BF labs either, BF1 essentially turned into a game with no fun after DICE destroyed movement due to community whining too, even when slide was perfectly balanced after the first nerf.

Open beta is soon anyways, all the world can see the problems BF labs caused on the BF6 by themselves when it comes out.
