Bowens is a guy you stick in tag league cuz you gotta have a guest team that work decent but are otherwise uneventful. Getting an AEW guest for the G1 and it being a jobber with no storyline or character is the type of shit that ruined the tournament's reputation 2 years ago when they stuck a who's who of who gives a fuck into it to fill 32 slots.

They nuke Gabe Kidd's identity and send a guy they don't care about. Riveting.
