Basically one of the first major promotions that Pirate Software nigger did was paying that mat pat game theory guy to promote his game as "the next undertale" but not actually link it or mention it in the title of the video, this was an entirely cynical decision meant to piss people off who played Undertale and get someone who actually gives a shit about games to promote it for him by getting Toby to chastise the gay theory guy online and drag attention to it.
MatPat is still a faggot, but in this particular case, he literally just straight up got fucked by an advertising client (Pirate Software), and took a massive reputational hit to promote a piece of shit early access walking simulator bootleg of an existing popular game that people actually like.
It is honestly probably up there in the top 10 scummiest things ever done in the industry to me.
