not sure any updates since then. but they acknowledge issues like too much burst (completely degenerate with both naxx gear and some of the class changes), too much grind, and not enough reward for the length of the grind.

yes, the naxx gear meta is the biggest complaint that everyone acknowledges. this item scaling, along with upgraded abilities on some classes makes the gameplay degenerate and lacking any nuance or room for counterplay. resiliance gear or a general damage in pvp is surely coming.

the other issue though is that there are many players that aren't going to raid in order to pvp, and they are currently relegated to getting 1-shotted and doing zero damage (if physical DPS). there is no progression for them at all. maybe these players raid on a different char or simply don't have a schedule that allows for raiding, but would do plenty of pvp if they were allowed to. forcing people to do the whole pve progression in order to have any shot at all in pvp is just bad mmo design and leads to fewer people playing the game. which is why blizzard abandoned this philosophy after vanilla. so i really hope they completely decouple these systems as that's the obvious win-win scenario where neither group of players has anything to complain about and the gear sets can be balanced separately.

luckily, they seem to be aware of all of the major issues so it should just be a matter of time.
