i did. it's a clownshow. every class is overtuned as fuck
i tried a bunch of classes and specs and very few managed to impress. most just felt like poorly made copies of retail specs or shit you could build in the freepick server with a thematic coat of paint.
like for example, mechanics tinker just felt like i was mashing buttons that did damage with no synergy between them.
necromancer played basically like a reskinned warlock. even the specs are the same: DoTs, pet spam, nukes
witch hunter feels shoehorned. this is not a warcraft themed class at all and they made zero effort to even pretend to make it fit.
then i made a ranger and got to level 10, the game expected me to pick between "we have rogue at home", "we have hunter at home" and some shitty hodgepodge spec that spams buffs and falcons that last 5 seconds and just alt-tabbed and uninstalled

We have already decided that the /wpsg/ Epoch guild will be called <four chins>. These are the rules we've come up with. A few have been updated so if you've already read these before you need to read again. Not knowing the rules is no excuse and will result in a ban.

1- No female characters. You play a male character or you don't play. You will never be a real woman in real life and you will never be a fake woman in our guild.

2- No discords that are less than six months old. We will cross reference the discord you use with a database we've established of known FMCers. If you are on the list, it will be at our discretion whether you are allowed to join us or not. Troons need not apply.

3- If you play a hunter you are not allowed to have a wolf pet.

4- A loot council will decide what loot you get and what loot you don't get.

5- The raid lead will decide what spec you play.

6- Mandatory consume checks before raids. If you don't bring the right consumes you will be kicked. Logs will be checked after each raid and if you didn't consume enough we will bar you from next week's raid.

7- Shitters will be kicked from raid. We don't care if it's accident or not. Fuck up and you will be kicked.

8- If you're caught shitposting in the thread you will be kicked.

9- Anyone who stirs drama will be kicked. Have beef with another player? Keep it to yourself. We will kick you.

10- Mandatory raid attendance. Miss too many raids? Don't bother coming to the rest. You won't be invited. If you are caught pugging during a raid, you will be kicked from the guild.

11- You will be forced to do a voice verification test on discord. This will be done as an extra step to weed out undesirables. Voice chat is required for raids but you are expected to mute your mic. Only the raid leader may speak.

that's false. partial progress b/w ranks decays exactly as it does in vanilla. you just can't down-rank, so the decay caps out at the 0 RPs into the rank. so it's the same exact grind. the only difference is you can take weeks off if you time it with rank floors, otherwise you will still be losing progress.

yes, the naxx gear meta is the biggest complaint that everyone acknowledges. this item scaling, along with upgraded abilities on some classes makes the gameplay degenerate and lacking any nuance or room for counterplay. resiliance gear or a general damage in pvp is surely coming.

the other issue though is that there are many players that aren't going to raid in order to pvp, and they are currently relegated to getting 1-shotted and doing zero damage (if physical DPS). there is no progression for them at all. maybe these players raid on a different char or simply don't have a schedule that allows for raiding, but would do plenty of pvp if they were allowed to. forcing people to do the whole pve progression in order to have any shot at all in pvp is just bad mmo design and leads to fewer people playing the game. which is why blizzard abandoned this philosophy after vanilla. so i really hope they completely decouple these systems as that's the obvious win-win scenario where neither group of players has anything to complain about and the gear sets can be balanced separately.

luckily, they seem to be aware of all of the major issues so it should just be a matter of time.

1) If you are late to one of our raids because you are "pugging" another raid (whether in an actual pug raid or another guild's raid), your SRs for our raid will be revoked. We do not have any rule against "pugging" raids, but your attendance to our raids should be a priority over your attendance to other raids. In other words, if you're online and able to raid, it should be with your guild. The reasoning for this rule is we want to be as fair as possible to the people who showed up on time for the raid and helped clear the raid.
