I assume no, AL's criteria is technically valid but it also comes to heads with this paragraph directly - and it's the only one of its kind in this file, probably done to stop this from happening. Not unlike the unit-specific retinue clauses in 2.0 that specifically call for the matching Legiones Astartes variant as well.
