No, it's not selfish. You're right. Personally I would like to do a vertical format, but it doesn't help me to do this efficiently. I tried, and I just can't "hold it", it's like infinite sand running through my fingers. Like I said in an earlier reply, setting clear boundaries and solid restrictions to your format guarantees a "bulletproof workflow". The vertical format is just unmanageable, it's impossible for me to put a limit on how lengthy that vertical "one page" would be.
