I'm more than halfway through Skyward sword now and something about this game just feels like a massive step back from TP (not Midna aside). It feels like the world is more akin to Mario Odyssey design instead of a living fantasy world with lore to it. Just feels like I'm going from one playground area to the next. Beyond that, the lack of towns and small pool of npc's just make it feel really small in scope too.

Even beyond the motion controls, I get why this is a lot of peoples least favorite Zelda. Wild to think how many journalists had the gall to give it 10/10's. Also, Fi is not only the most bland companion but gets downright into uncanny valley at times. Especially her blank expression when she's singing.

The OST for this game is a genuine 10/10 though, I'll give them that.
