The story became too serious to justify having googly-eyed characters. The original concept was somehow more immaturely edgy and parodic than Conker my ignorance to copyright law caused both Conker and Bubsy to be friends of Fygoon before I realized I could not go toe-to-toe with Microsoft and Atari and changed it up, but writing comedy intentionally is not really my strong suit so it devolved into Fygoon just killing "evil" characters in horrific ways wihile cracking some corny jokes. As I matured, so did my game's story, such as changing Joey Fygoon from a boring heroic character into one who has to grow from being an arrogant, spoiled fool into a headstrong and humble hero (being rewarded for his growth with more than he lost). As a result, the story necessitated more realistic characters.
