Uhhh... could you tell me which ones?
He has a prolific filmography but when I look up the ones I remember seeing, their box office take implies it was a failure or a modest so-so and it all seems dwarfed by him appearing in Chinese films by and for the Hong Kong market (and a bunch of them were flops) and now for the greater Chinese market as a legacy actor who has connections, not talent, nor good directors.

I unno. I recognise some titles but half of it seems to be middling box office releases. A zesty comedy black man being popular in the past is weird. That or he became as washed up as Jackie around the '90s.

It really does. A cultural and racial fit are the priority. If it's unrelatable, you lose sales.
