Speaking of short clavicles, if you look at Larry Scott, he has the same problem. He was narrow shouldered with a wide waist. But he learned how to pose in ways that present his physique a more pleasing fashion. This is again something that is missing in modern bodybuilding. No attention to the art of posing and proportions. Just putting on as much as size as possible and if there is anything close to the appearance aesthetic proportions, it's an accident and not intended.
I must also mention that Aesthetics are not as subjective as one would think. Though you could say there are variations between what individuals would claim to be aesthetically pleasing, there is still a general trend and much more commonalities. Men are after all the product of physical laws and those laws themselves govern the human mind.
