I have to disagree. VESA only introduced the standard because OLEDs of the time could not reach the luminosity standards of the regular VESA standard. OLEDs should be subjected to the same scrutiny in luminosity as MiniLED displays are for contrast and black level.

And while this is true, if you're crushing your blacks, you're ruining your image picture. I can think of only a few scenarios where true black would be present (such as in space, where OLED truly shines against MiniLED).
