That's not what freaking happened. The thirst of the family manifested on her and drove her frenzied because she had actual bloodfiend powers again, and she could propagate and make new family members, essentially being driven by that voice to do so.
Without the means to actually do so, the voice can't manifest on her, as her bloodfiend traits are sealed, but otherwise she would have her own regular thirst even with the shoes on. Again, it's directly stated by the game itself, in her canto that the shoes do nothing to suppress the thirst, if you want to act like you know more than the story then go ahead.
