Without the means to actually do so, the voice can't manifest on her, as her bloodfiend traits are sealed, but otherwise she would have her own regular thirst even with the shoes on. Again, it's directly stated by the game itself, in her canto that the shoes do nothing to suppress the thirst, if you want to act like you know more than the story then go ahead.

Yeah, I considered that when writing my post. It just feels off for what we’ve seen of the ID considering Hong is preaching Confucianism in his appearances.
I’m wondering if perhaps it’s a world where Hong never tries to save the backstreets people/is never seen by Qiu when doing so. Then Qiu would follow his path of revenge, leading to his death by Baoyu. And then Hong finds Confucianism somehow. The previous and simpler post seems more likely.
