Eh, I'm finishing my first playthrough of the game now and I'm not sure how A-Life is going to enhance the game. You already come across roving groups of stalkers and others which is enough to give some life to the Zone. What I think the game really needs is a total rebalance of ammo (both in terms of the multitude of types, and weight), carry weight mechanics, mutant health, and Monolith soldier health & damage.

Monolith soldiers in particular. I'm in the last bit of the game now fighting wave after wave of these fuckers and it's obnoxious how much effort it is to take them down. It doesn't help that all human enemies in this game have perfect awareness of your position, and pop out of cover and instantaneously draw a bead on you. Extended combat sequences are really about pounding medkits and bandages more than anything else.

Also, please please please fix enemy visibility issues where they can see you in total darkness or through foliage, but it's impossible for you to see them.

Stalker 2 is pretty fun, but man are there so many little annoyances that drag the whole thing down. Just little things like how vendors have a "goodbye" line you must listen to or skip when closing their dialog. Or how you can never upgrade your headlamp. Or how you have to carry around so much ammo because mutant encounters will use it all up. Or how you can't really ever get to a low base inventory so your movement speed is almost always compromised. Or how stashed ammo isn't organized by caliber.
