or new picked up items having a little symbol so you can find them instantly
or new picked up notes being instantly readable with select

sometimes they overdo it though and make some things too convenient and handholdy
like the bird whistle, or gemini telling you "hey retard the key is used for the locked door" (i hate gemini sounding like reddit and just feeding exposition)

also it's debatable, generally I hate skill tree bs but the p organ is great and incentivizes ng+ in better ways than fromsoft
weapon handle system also awesome, not just for weapon variety but because what I hate in souls and especially ER is how annoying it is to upgrade weapons, or you end up not using new weapons because they're such a pain to upgrade
also crazy how they made a more satisfying bow than fs ever did in their first try
