I'm sick of interacting with Thai who are not service workers. Outwardly I look well polished and fit into the hi-so crowd by looks, but these middle/upper-middle class Thais are hyper-socialized normies and combine the worst elements of social media narcissistic brainrot, consumerist culture and are all nepo-babies.

To make a decent income and be at least middle-class by 1st world standards in Thailand they need to own a family business, and with that it's typically they're already a 3rd generation enterprise and the young hi-so Thais are just living off the dividends of previous generations and are all-round loafers or do bullshit endeavors like jewelry design, cupcake shops or just scrounge around carefully crafting their identities on Instagram.

Everytime I try to form a relationship with a hi-so Thai they find out I only have less than 120 followers on Instagram and just pictures of me, my dog and family then they immediately lose interest, like they only want to associate with narcissistic influencers. It's tiring and infuriating, they are also very sensitive to the fact Thailand is still a developing country and feel shame about that but living in forced blissful ignorance in their bubbles, yet benefitting off that inequality. Sad state of affairs.
