Eh if it's anything like the last Persona announcement Nintendo's probably saving it for their showcase, just like it was pretty obvious the recent Final Fantasy stuff was going to go to Xbox because Square Enix is run by retards who spent hundreds of millions of dollars on NFT projects and they need to make up for that, but it wasn't announced until the showcase that just happened an hour ago.
Now the bigger problem is it wasn't news, we knew Game Freak was doing an action RPG, but the timing of its reveal fucking means the next generation of Pokemon on a new platform is going to be crippled AGAIN by them diverting a chunk of their staff to some other random ass project no one will remember the week after it comes out.
The Switch 2's power can bruteforce through Pokemon SV but that's a Switch 1 game. What the fuck hope does it have for a new platform with new demands?
Game Freak ain't half the devs Monolith is and Monolith like every other actual Nintendo-controlled studio has been on a hiring spree for the last half decade, that's how they can work as a support studio, e.g. being credited on Mario Kart World, while also cranking out Xenoblades.
