If they were the main antagonists. She would be his advisor who helps him out with the major plans. I think shes capable with handling a lot of Metal's plans. As a fighting unit perhaps she can "tap" into Metal and allow him to be always enhance his fighting prowess at the cost of burning him out faster. I think them being a villain duo for a potential Sonic game where Eggman is absent can really be cool.
