Two years ago I tried to build a DoL 3d version as a side project. The real issue that came up was that I live in Australia, and you can get prosecuted for lewd games like this with up to 20 years in prison, so I shelved it.

I'm still developing games, just not lewd stuff. Too much risk for me as a developer.

Maybe if my current games make a good amount of money, I'll move to Japan and open a small studio to make a 3d DoL-like.
