Oh hey you're close to one of the really big points of contention I have with the early Quest, the power jump Korin's training gives them. Fair warning there, even with the absurd luck it's pretty substantial. Thankfully the rest of the Dragon Ball classic arc isn't as badly affected by it overall, even if things go quite a bit off the rails.
